Recap:

After having a bit discussion on humanity in which humans are lagging in, Gowrav and Koushik went to the policeman to complain about the incident that took a few minutes ago. While conversing with the policeman, Koushik shouted at policeman and policeman stiffening his hand on his stick looked at him.

Here is what happened after that………..

The Departure

I went to the policeman and said “Your shoelace is loosened sir”. Then he, with a smile on his face bent to tie his shoelace. Giving a peek at the watch, we said Goodbye to the policeman and continued on our way to the train.

On the way, Gowrav again raised the ticket charge issue and I asked him to return sixty rupees which I gave him previously. After he did that I gave him hundred rupees which settled down the issue of that bloody money.

When we went to the train it was empty and there were no passengers in it. Not even a single person. It gave me a shock and made my mind blank for some seconds with a thought “Did I miss the train?”, but there is still 10 minutes for the train to depart. Then how can we miss the train. With a blank mind and confused look on face, not knowing what to do, we were looking around.

Then an officer who was standing there asked, what we were looking for? We replied saying Rayalaseema Express. He said it “you will meet it, if you go straight passing this train”. Then we moved forward to the train. As we passed along the empty train, there we found Rayalaseema Express with full crowd at it.

As we approach the train, we saw all the compartments with full of passengers and we were passing the last general compartment. Then Gowrav turned to me and said “this is the last general compartment Koushik, Have a nice journey! Bye”. I politely replied with a goodbye. Gowrav left to meet his friends in sleeper coach and I was doing inky… ponky… to select the coach to enter.

The count stopped at third coach. On the way to third coach it happened to enter the second coach as the boys standing at the door of the second coach were quite interesting and funny with their words “ Yes! You can enter but don’t stand at the door”, to the passengers who approach the coach-2. And I settled in that compartment.

The Departure

The Departure

There was place only to stand, that too at the door. I took my place at the door and placed my bag between my legs to get rid of thieves. There was no place even for a single kid. At that situation came a mob of 10 members and asked to give some space so that they go into the compartment.

The two boys at the door replied at a time saying, ”we won’t stop you, you can go in but don’t stay at the door”. I didn’t understand why those boys go on telling the same sentence to everyone. The mob entered and went in.

After few minutes again a mob about 15 members this time along with the ladies came and asked to give space. The boys repeated the same sentences but a man beside me said “there is no place inside, how can you adjust? Young girls are there, it is be better to catch next train”.

Then one of the lady replied “the next train will start at dawn which may not be safe for us, adjusting in this train is the only thing we can do”, saying so, the mob entered inside the compartment and the position for us, who were standing at the door became too critical.

My legs got struck and they were not moving even an inch. A person came asking which train is this? the man before me answered saying Hyderabad, which is the last station. He thinking it won’t stop at his place he left. Another man came with a similar question of where do the train go?.

Then I replied saying MAHISHMATHI. Yeah, I should not do like that but there is no place inside. So I replied in a weird way and the man went silently. As soon as he left, the entire crowd around me laughed for my reply and those two kids were about to roll on platform with laugh. Then a police officer came saying “ Move inside! Give some space to the kid.” The kid was handicapped and was along with his mother.

We started murmuring about the police. What he did was really good. India would definitely become a developed nation if we have such policemen with Humanity. But here comfort plays more important role than Humanity for us. But however he came in. Then a man with his son from back shouted “ please give us side, we need to get down.

We can’t continue journey in this manner.” Our faces lighted with smile. Of course even an inch matters in that situation. They got down and we regained our positions. When the train started moving, a old lady came crying ”Stop! I forgot my bag in another train”. I said “grand ma’ train has already started, you can’t step out. It’s dangerous”. Train has got its moment and grand ma’ in attempt to step out pushed me away and I lost my grip on door grill which was supporting me. I was falling back; even the door main handle was slipped……
